Cancellation, Retainer & Paid Advertising Policy
JDC Exec works on a monthly retainer basis, with content planning, strategy, scheduling, design, copywriting, campaign preparation, and internal resource allocation completed in advance.
Monthly Retainers
All monthly retainers are payable in advance and secure the client’s agreed scope of work, team capacity, planning time, content development, scheduling, account management, and related service delivery.
The monthly retainer is not billed only for published content. It also covers the strategic, administrative, creative, and operational work required to prepare and manage the client’s account.
Cancellation Notice
Clients are required to provide one full calendar month’s written notice should they wish to cancel any social media, content, digital marketing, advertising, or related retainer service.
Cancellation notice must be provided in writing via email.
As JDC Exec works one month in advance, the notice period allows us to complete work already planned, prepared, scheduled, allocated, or actioned internally.
Final Month of Service
Once cancellation notice has been received and accepted, the client’s final month of service will proceed according to the agreed scope, unless otherwise confirmed in writing.
Any content already planned, created, scheduled, or allocated during the notice period will remain part of the final month’s service delivery.
If the client chooses not to continue with posting, publishing, or implementation during the notice period, the retainer remains payable and is not refundable.
Non-Refundable Retainers
Monthly retainers are non-refundable once paid, as work is planned and resources are allocated in advance.
This includes, but is not limited to:
- content planning
- copywriting
- graphic design
- scheduling
- account management
- strategy
- reporting
- client communication
- internal team allocation
- advertising preparation
- campaign administration
No refunds will be issued for unused content, unused service days, cancelled posts, paused campaigns, or work the client chooses not to publish during the notice period.
Paid Advertising Budgets
Advertising budgets are separate from monthly retainers and are used specifically for paid media placement on platforms such as Meta, Google, LinkedIn, or other agreed advertising platforms.
If advertising is cancelled, paused, or excluded during the notice period, no new advertising spend will be used unless agreed in writing.
Any unused advertising budget that has not yet been spent on the advertising platform may either be refunded, credited, or reallocated by agreement, depending on the payment structure and campaign status.
Advertising budgets already spent, committed, processed, or charged by third-party platforms are not refundable.
Organic Content Only
Where a client moves to an organic-only service, the service will cover brand visibility, content consistency, and brand awareness only.
Organic content does not carry the same lead-generation function as paid advertising. Results may vary depending on audience activity, platform reach, content engagement, and the strength of the existing brand presence.
Pausing or Stopping Paid Advertising
Clients acknowledge that stopping paid advertising may affect campaign momentum, audience data, and platform learning.
Platforms such as Meta require time and consistent campaign activity to identify and refine the best-performing audiences. If advertising is resumed at a later stage, campaigns may need to enter a new learning phase.
During this period, leads may initially be broader, less qualified, or less consistent while the platform rebuilds campaign data and audience signals. This learning and optimisation process may take several months, depending on budget, audience size, campaign activity, and market response.
Changes to Scope
Any change in scope, deliverables, posting frequency, advertising budget, or platform management must be confirmed in writing.
Reduced packages, organic-only packages, or adjusted service levels will only take effect once confirmed by JDC Exec and aligned with the required notice period.
Third-Party Platforms
JDC Exec is not responsible for changes made by third-party platforms, including changes to reach, algorithm performance, advertising costs, account restrictions, campaign learning phases, platform policies, or lead quality.
While JDC Exec will manage campaigns and content professionally, platform performance cannot be guaranteed.
Acceptance of Terms
By engaging JDC Exec for monthly retainer, content, social media, digital marketing, or advertising services, the client agrees to these cancellation, retainer, and paid advertising terms.
